STAR receives “Billion Acts Hero Award” from Nobel Peace Laureates

STAR has been awarded a Billion Acts Hero Award. STAR’s CEO was presented with the award on June 17th by Nobel Peace Laureate Betty Williams at the Monte Carlo Television Festival in Monaco.

Home Office confirms asylum seekers can study

There is no study ban for asylum seekers! After STAR exposed errors, The Home Office have issued new guidance to confirm that asylum seekers should not be given Immigration Bail conditions which state ”you cannot study”. Watch our CEO Emma on Newsnight yesterday explaining what’s happened.

MPs back STAR campaign to reunite refugee families in the UK!

Cheers and applause rang out in the House of Commons for refugees today (16th March 2018).

In rare scenes for a Friday – normally a quiet time in Parliament – the Refugee Family Reunion Bill was backed by MPs and now moves onto the next stage where it will be looked at in detail by a Committee.
