Fantastic Social Care opportunity for refugees

Praxis centre in East London is currently recruiting candidates for a 12 week health and social care course. This exciting opportunity is open to health care professionals and refugees hoping to work in this field.

Praxis is a centre which provides support and advice to migrants and refugees. Based in East London the centre is visited by over 10,000 people every year.

The introduction to heath and social care course assists in developing the knowledge and skills which are invaluable for working in the care sector. It also helps identify possible career paths.

Topics covered include:
• Health and social care in the UK
• Equality and diversity rights
• Employment rights
• Vulnerable adults
• Child Protection
• English for professional use
• Advanced communication skills

The course starts on the 14th September 2010 and successful candidates will be able to commit 3 days a week for a period of 12 weeks.

Support with registration fees for the General Social Care Council or enrolment on vocational training programmes are also available.
