Get ready for Action Day with free training
Let Them Work Action Day is on Thursday 26th February. STAR is offering you free training to make sure this year’s Action Day is the best yet.

What is it?
The training will prepare you to take action for the Let Them Work campaign on Action Day and is made possible by the support of youth organisation Junction49
You’ll be fully briefed on the campaign, and professional trainers from Junction49 and Refugee Council will provide support on ideas generation, working in a team, project planning and working with the media.
When?
The training will be held on the following days:
- London – Saturday, 31st January, 11am-5pm
- Leeds – Saturday, 7th February, 11am-5pm
Why?
STAR’s annual Action Day is an opportunity for all STAR groups to unite together to transform the lives of refugees in the UK. On Thursday 26th February 2009 we are campaigning for the right to work for asylum seekers. We will spread the message that people seeking asylum are prohibited from working, and that thousands of people are living in poverty with no chance to support themselves. If you want be a part of this movement then this is the event for you.
