Nominate your STAR Volunteer of the Year - The STAR Awards are here!
This November STAR will launch the first ever STAR Awards at STAR National Conference, to celebrate the outstanding contributions of STAR volunteers.

The STAR Awards will recognise volunteers who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to volunteering with and for refugees and there are three award categories:
1. Practical Support to refugees
2. Promoting awareness of refugee issues
3. Campaigning
Who can be nominated and who can nominate
Anyone who is currently or has been volunteering for STAR in the last year is eligible for nomination. And you can nominate someone if you are a member of a STAR group, or have been involved with a STAR group in your area. You can nominate as many people as you feel deserve an award! So please get nominating!

Nomination FormForms can be filled out and emailed back, or printed out and posted back to the National Support Office.
The deadline for nominations is Saturday 30th August 2008 and winners will be announced at the National Conference in November! Each winner will receive £100 towards their project as well as personalised prizes.
