Oxford sixth formers are led to safety

STAR’s youth network is for young people aged 16-25 who care about the rights of refugees and asylum seekers and want to take action.

Like STAR’s student groups, we

  • support refugees and asylum seekers through volunteering and practical action
  • campaign on the issues facing refugees and asylum seekers
  • raise awareness of refugee issues

STAR’s youth network is national – our members live all over the UK. The network has British members, members who are refugees and asylum seekers – plus anyone else aged 16-25 who’d like to sign up.

16-25? Hook up to the network

Do you want to get involved supporting refugees and asylum seekers, and care about the issues that face them? Are you 16-25?

What’s next?

You’ll get a ‘STARting out’ pack with loads of ideas for taking action, starting a group. There’s also information about the current issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers.

We’ll put you on an email network and send updates about events like STAR’s National Conference or National Action Day, as well as campaigns and other opportunities. At STAR events you’ll meet other young people and students who are involved supporting refugees.

You’ll also get the STAR newsletter, which goes to everybody connected to STAR.

We’ll also be here to support your involvement with STAR and provide any training, advice or resources you might need. Get involved and make a real difference!
